Transnational Feminisms Associate Professor

Position: Transnational Feminisms Associate Professor Role
Pursue an exciting opportunity as an Associate Professor in Transnational and/or South Asian Feminisms at the University of Toronto Mississauga. This full-time role, starting July 1, 2027, emphasizes teaching and research excellence.

The Department of Historical Studies seeks candidates with a PhD who demonstrate a strong background in feminist research, particularly in colonial/post-colonial studies and diaspora engagements. Applicants should exhibit interdisciplinary approaches and a commitment to producing impactful feminist knowledge through innovative methods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver undergraduate courses in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies

• Engage in the WGSS Research Opportunity Program

• Facilitate curriculum development and community activities

• Supervise graduate students in Women and Gender Studies

• Conduct independent and externally funded research

Requirements:

• PhD in Women and Gender Studies or a related discipline

• Record of publication in leading academic journals

• Evidence of effective teaching evaluations

• Experience leading workshops or mentorship programs

• Dedication to promoting diversity and equity in research and teaching

Contribute significantly to feminist scholarship and education at UTM.
