The Technical Specialist – Asset Management is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the technical and operational performance of the company’s solar generation assets, including solar tracker systems and associated electrical, electronic, communications, instrumentation, and control systems.

This role combines technical asset management, performance analysis, field investigations, maintenance coordination, stakeholder management, and technical support to maximize asset availability, reliability, safety, and long-term performance. The Technical Specialist works closely with Asset Management, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Legal, Operations & Maintenance (O&M), EPC contractors, service providers, asset owners, developers, and other stakeholders.

The position will also support research and development activities related to the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of solar electrical generation and solar tracker systems and components.

Key Responsibilities Asset Performance & Technical Analysis
  • Monitor the operational and financial performance of assigned solar assets, including photovoltaic generation systems and solar tracker equipment.
  • Analyze plant-level and component-level operational data to identify underperformance, inefficiencies, equipment degradation, abnormal operating conditions, and potential failures.
  • Investigate performance deviations and operational issues using remote monitoring, SCADA, data analytics, site inspections, and field investigations.
  • Identify root causes of electrical, electronic, mechanical, communications, instrumentation, and control system failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct research and development activities related to the feasibility, design, operation, reliability, and performance of solar electrical generation, communications, instrumentation, control systems, and solar tracker equipment.
  • Develop and implement technical standards, operating procedures, and maintenance standards for solar tracker systems and associated equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to increase asset availability, energy production, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Field Operations, Inspections & Maintenance
  • Supervise and inspect the installation, modification, testing, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic systems and equipment associated with solar tracker and generation systems.
  • Plan and lead site visits, technical audits, inspections, troubleshooting activities, and field investigations.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment inspections, system upgrades, component replacements, and warranty repairs.
  • Investigate electrical and electronic failures associated with solar tracker systems and other plant equipment.
