Junior - Intermediate Hydraulic Modeller (Water/Wastewater)

The Role: The Hydraulic Modeller will be responsible for building and applying hydraulic water and wastewater models for private and public sector clients.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct hydraulic modelling analysis for municipal water and wastewater systems.
• Perform data analysis for planning studies.
• Prepares engineering calculations, reports and drawings.
• Help prepare key project deliverables, such as technical reports, client presentations, modeling outputs, and GIS mapping.
• Supports senior engineers with water and wastewater projects for a wide variety of municipal and private sector clients

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certified Professional Engineer license in Ontario, or must be eligible to obtain within one year.
• Junior Hydraulic Modeller candidates must have a minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of relevant experience in water or wastewater design or hydraulics related to municipal projects
• Intermediate Hydraulic Modeller candidates must have 4+ years of experience in water or wastewater design or hydraulics related to municipal projects.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics principals.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams.

Technical Skills:

• Experience in modelling software (Water
  
  GEMS, Sewer
  
  GEMS, Infoworks ICM, Infowater, PCSWMM)
• Knowledge of GIS systems (ESRI or ArcGIS)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D
