Responsibilities   Lead mechanical design of packaging machinery and automated systems
Drive projects from concept development through detailed design, build, installation, and customer acceptance
Partner with Lead Product Line Designers to identify cost‑saving opportunities in design and materials
Manage assigned projects to meet schedule, cost, and quality objectives
Ensure Bills of Material comply with company standards
Support Sales with concept designs for future opportunities
Specify and integrate OEM equipment in turnkey solutions
Uphold and enhance engineering processes, standards, and design quality
Provide hands‑on support during assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
Supervise mechanical designers and support technicians during build and test phases
Act as a technical resource across teams, answering questions and sharing expertise
Continuously identify and recommend quality and cost improvements
Stay current with industry regulations and codes relevant to packaging machinery
Promote team development, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Qualifications   Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
Demonstrable mechanical design experience
Strong experience with automation and industrial machinery
Packaging machinery experience is a strong asset
Proven ability to manage engineering projects end to end
Advanced CAD experience (2D/3D – Autodesk Inventor)
Solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
Strong working knowledge of design standards
High computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Project)
Innovative, analytical thinker with excellent problem‑solving skills
