Job Overview
As a Senior Civil Engineer specializing in Water & Wastewater Conveyance, you will shape essential infrastructure that strengthens communities and protects the environment. Your work will directly support the planning, design, and delivery of pipelines, pumping systems, linear infrastructure, and municipal servicing that millions rely on every day.
Responsibilities- Lead the design and delivery of water and wastewater conveyance projects, including trunk mains, force mains, sewers, and pumping infrastructure.
- Develop technical solutions grounded in sustainability, resiliency, and lifecycle value.
- Guide multidisciplinary teams through planning, modeling, design development, QA/QC, and construction support.
- Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to align project objectives and technical requirements.
- Prepare and review engineering reports, feasibility studies, and detailed design packages.
- Mentor emerging engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
- Apply innovation and global best practices to deliver high‑performing water systems.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering with specific expertise in water/wastewater conveyance.
- Robust technical background in hydraulic design, linear infrastructure, condition assessment, and trenchless technologies.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Civil3D, Info Water/Info Works, Water
GEMS/Sewer
GEMS or equivalent. - Experience leading complex, multi‑disciplinary projects in municipal and/or regional water systems.
- Comfort engaging directly with clients and leading technical discussions.
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $94,100–$124,900. Disclosure:
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
