Senior Environmental Impact Assessment SpecialistAs a Senior Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist, you will lead environmental impact assessments (EIAs), guide regulatory processes, and support stakeholder engagement for projects in nuclear, electricity transmission, renewable energy, mining, and other energy sectors.
Your expertise in Ontario’s Environmental Assessment Act and/or the federal Impact Assessment Act will be key to delivering innovative solutions that shape sustainable communities.
Your Impact- Lead environmental planning and impact assessments for multi-disciplinary projects across energy and infrastructure sectors.
- Develop regulatory roadmaps, environmental permit plans, and monitoring programs that ensure compliance and sustainability.
- Provide strategic technical leadership and quality reviews for EIAs and supporting documentation.
- Consult with regulators and clients, fostering strong relationships and innovative engagement programs with Indigenous communities and stakeholders.
- Drive business development by identifying new opportunities and supporting proposals for the team.
- Mentor junior and intermediate staff, promoting growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental studies, planning, science, or engineering.
- 10+ years of experience managing EIAs and navigating regulatory processes in Ontario or across Canada.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong background in stakeholder and Indigenous engagement programs, including virtual engagement tools. - Experience with business development and proposal writing.
- Familiarity with Ontario and federal regulators and permitting processes.

Compensation- AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $93,700 – $124,200
- MB & ON: $85,500 – $117,800
- NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $84,700 – $112,400
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The wage range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
