Join AtkinsRéalis as a Safety Analyst specializing in deterministic safety analysis for CANDU Nuclear Power Plants. Utilize cutting-edge methodologies to support safety and licensing efforts.
In this role, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team critical for performing safety analyses for various reactor accidents. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years' experience and a strong understanding of CANDU systems. You will work on preparing safety analysis reports to regulatory agencies and ensure analysis aligns with rigorous project demands.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct safety analyses for nuclear plant scenarios
• Use state-of-the-art computer codes for analysis
• Develop methodologies for safety assessments
• Document analyses for regulatory requirements
• Align work with company procedures and standards
Requirements:
• Honours degree in Engineering or Science
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Practical knowledge of CATHENA, NUCIRC, or GOTHIC
• Strong skills in computer programming, especially FORTRAN
• Excellent communication skills
