Principal Engineer - CANDU Reactor Design

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Principal Engineer specializing in CANDU Reactor Structures. This position focuses on providing technical direction and solving complex engineering problems in nuclear projects.

As a recognized leader, you will oversee the design and technical review of CANDU reactor structures.

Your role will involve extensive interaction with stakeholder organizations. With a minimum of 15 years’ experience, you’ll develop innovative engineering solutions while guiding teams through project challenges, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for CANDU reactor designs

• Lead design reviews and critical assessments of engineering documents

• Propose innovative engineering concepts and modifications

• Guide multi-disciplinary teams toward effective project delivery

• Manage client relations and technical interfaces

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical, Material or Nuclear Engineering

• Professional Engineer license in Ontario mandatory

• At least 15 years of related experience

• Mastery in stress calculation and solid mechanics

• Skilled in ASME and CSA safety standards
