3D Scanning & Metrology Technician; Creaform

About the Job:

We are hiring a 3D Scanning & Metrology Technician to support automotive inspection, validation, and launch activities using advanced Creaform scanning systems. This role ensures dimensional accuracy for new and existing automotive components.

Pay: $60000 - $65000.

Responsibilities:

• Perform 3D scanning using Creaform systems (HandySCAN, MetraSCAN).
• Conduct dimensional inspections and GD&T analysis.
• Compare scan data to CAD models and identify deviations.
• Support PPAP and new product launches.
• Generate detailed inspection reports for engineering and OEMs.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams on quality issues.
• Maintain scanning equipment and calibration standards.
• Support reverse engineering projects.

Requirements:

• 5+ years 3D scanning/metrology experience.
• Strong GD&T and automotive inspection knowledge.
• Experience with Creaform + VXelements/VXinspect, & Polyworks software.
• Ability to interpret CAD models and drawings.
• Automotive manufacturing experience required.
