Salary Range: 80,000. Annually

As our next Automation Project Specialist/Controls Technician (Robotics/PLC Service), you’ll be at the forefront of designing, programming, and commissioning advanced automation systems. Your expertise in robotics, PLC programming, and controls integration will be critical in delivering high-performance production and test equipment while driving continuous improvement across our operations.

Support the design, build, and commissioning of automation systems including robotic cells and assembly linesProgram and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robotics systems (Fanuc, Yaskawa, ABB/KUKA), and safety controllersSet up and optimize robot cells, including vision systems and force monitoringModify and improve existing production equipment and automation processesConfigure industrial control networks (Ether Net/IP, EtherCAT, etc.)Develop and modify LabVIEW-based programs and related systemsCollaborate with mechanical designers and participate in design reviewsProvide on-site customer support during equipment installation and commissioningDevelop technical documentation, including manuals and setup proceduresSupport continuous improvement initiatives and enhance system performanceEnsure all automation solutions meet safety and quality standardsWhat We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Engineering Technology or related field5+ years of experience in an automation or controls environmentExpert-level experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Omron NJ)Strong experience with robot programming (Fanuc, Yaskawa, KUKA)Hands-on experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsExperience with industrial control networks (Ether Net/IP, EtherCAT, etc.)Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skillsAbility to work independently and across cross-functional teamsWillingness to travel as requiredBonus Points If You Have:
Experience with LabVIEW programmingKnowledge of SQL databases and related software systemsExperience with electrical design tools (e.g., EPLAN)Understanding of automotive standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001)Experience supporting complex automation installations and commissioningHow to Apply:
