Principal Specialist in Drafting

Join RTX as a Principal Specialist in Drafting/Product Definition at the Mississauga location. You will leverage your CAD expertise, specifically in Catia, to deliver high-quality engineering drawings.

This full-time onsite position requires significant experience in drafting and a strong foundation in Engineering Technology or related fields. You will collaborate closely with engineers and project managers while ensuring compliance with GD&T and industry standards. Additionally, your role will involve influencing processes and mentoring junior staff, making an impact on product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed 2D/3D engineering drawings with Catia

• Ensure industry compliance with GD&T and ASME Y14.5

• Collaborate with design teams for product quality

• Maintain and update documentation procedures

• Autonomously provide guidance to junior professionals

Requirements:

• Engineering diploma with 8 years or Bachelor's degree with 5 years experience

• Proficiency in CAD software, especially Catia

• Strong knowledge of drafting principles and standards

• Ability to interpret technical drawings

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
