Junior Project Manager / Drafting Coordinator

Preferred Energy Inc. is seeking an organized, motivated, and technically minded Project Manager / Drafting Coordinator to join our growing team.

Location: ESTEVAN

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our expanding fabrication division while learning and operating advanced robotic scanning and beamline technology. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating projects from concept through fabrication while supporting our production and construction teams.

• Coordinate multiple fabrication and construction projects
• Learn and operate advanced 3D scanning and HGG beamline software
• Prepare cut lists, material take-offs, and fabrication documentation
• Review drawings and ensure fabrication accuracy
• Coordinate with customers, engineers, and field personnel
• Track project schedules and production milestones
• Assist with estimating and procurement
• Maintain project documentation and drawing revisions
• Support production planning and workflow improvements
• Assist with quality control throughout fabrication

• A diploma in engineering design technology is an asset
• Experience with drafting, detailing, or project management
• Ability to read structural steel and fabrication drawings
• Experience with AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar drafting software
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
• Experience in structural steel, oil & gas, industrial construction, or manufacturing is considered an asset
