Intermediate Transportation Engineer

Join Hatch as an Intermediate Transportation Engineer in Mississauga, ON, where you will oversee impactful traffic and transportation projects. Lead complex planning studies and mentoring initiatives while ensuring client satisfaction every step of the way.

In this role, you will report to the Transportation Manager within the Highways & Bridges Business unit. The position focuses on managing and developing transportation planning and traffic operations projects while leading diverse teams. You’ll apply your expertise in traffic operations, infrastructure upgrades, and safety assessments to enhance mobility solutions across Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead traffic engineering studies for municipal infrastructure projects

• Perform capacity analysis using traffic software tools

• Conduct Traffic Impact Analysis reports for projects

• Mentor junior staff and guide project development stages

• Engage in business development and proposal writing

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

• 5+ years of municipal infrastructure project experience

• Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario

• Extensive knowledge of traffic operations and modeling

• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
