Hatch is seeking a dedicated individual to join their geotechnical engineering team in Mississauga. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in tailings deposition modeling, stability analysis, and data interpretation. As a trainee, you'll work with multidisciplinary teams to support innovative and sustainable mining practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in tailings storage planning and design
• Support geotechnical analyses and performance evaluations
• Participate in geotechnical field investigations and lab testing
• Contribute to engineering drawings and technical reports
• Engage in dam safety reviews and compliance activities
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
• 0-3 years relevant experience in engineering or mining
• Basic understanding of soil mechanics and geotechnical principles
• Familiarity with geotechnical software considered an asset
• Willingness to travel for field investigations
