As a leader in WSP’s Mining Environmental Approvals team, you’ll ensure effective strategies for permitting and maintain high standards for water management.
Your role will also involve nurturing upcoming professionals while integrating advanced technical insights into approvals processes for Ontario’s mining projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee permitting and approvals for proposed metal mines
• Create and evaluate environmental management plans and documentation
• Analyze project risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Advise clients on the regulatory landscape and approval pathways
• Mentor junior professionals in technical competencies and project execution
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental or related discipline
• At least 8–12 years of relevant work experience
• Comprehensive understanding of Ontario and Federal regulations
• Proven leadership in environmental project delivery
• Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and communication
Lead the charge for responsible mining practices at WSP, ensuring water resource sustainability.
