Job Description Overview

• Perform structural analysis, structural design
• Prepare engineering design calculations for structural systems involving steel, reinforced concrete and masonry elements as per the relevant CSA Standards and applicable codes and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze structural systems and elements as required using Analysis Software programs.
• Support engineers in the preparing design documents and compiling engineering packages.
• Develop conceptual design, preliminary design and detailed design.
  
  Prepare technical specification documents.
• Apply sound engineering principles to assigned engineering activities.
• Compliance with applicable QA procedures and being responsible for producing quality work.
• Delivery of all technical engineering deliverables/task within specified timelines and budgets.

• Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University with 0-3 years industry Design experience;
  Master's degree and above is an asset.
• Eligible to register as Professional Engineer in
  - Training, in a professional engineering organization recognized in Canada.
• Knowledge of Analysis software commonly used in Civil/Structural engineering such as ANSYS, SAP
  2000, STAAD Pro, SSASI, ETABS, SAFE etc.
• Sound knowledge of Civil/Structural Engineering principles.
• Must have working knowledge of NBCC, CSA and other applicable industry codes and standards.
• Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
• Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Ability to manage to work effectively under tight schedules and budget.
• Good oral and written communication skills is a minimum requirement.
