WSP seeks a skilled Rock Mechanics Consultant for its Mine Stability and Geotechnical team. This consulting role requires expertise in rock mechanics, geotechnical risks, and project delivery. You will play a crucial role in assessing ground conditions, supporting mine design, and delivering safe project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct rock mechanics assessments for mining projects
• Perform numerical and analytical modelling studies
• Develop recommendations for excavation and stope stability
• Complete geotechnical data interpretation and site investigations
• Prepare technical reports and evaluative documents
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Geological, Mining, or Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility
• 5-10 years relevant rock mechanics experience
• Proficiency with Rocscience Suite and FLAC3D
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
