The City of Mississauga is seeking a Co-Op Student to assist in the Traffic Operations unit. This temporary role lasts from January to April 2027 and requires enrollment in a Transportation Engineering program. You’ll gain insights through peak hour studies, field work, and public engagement under the guidance of experienced supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support daily operations of Traffic Operations and Road Safety Units
• Conduct peak hour studies and field observations
• Investigate sign deficiencies and maintain records
• Provide feedback to staff and the public on traffic matters
• Utilize office space and remote tools for effective work
Requirements:
• Must be enrolled in Transportation Engineering or related program
• Previous co-op experience in transportation is an asset
• Strong knowledge of traffic studies and engineering practice
• Proficient with MS Office and traffic software
• Valid Class “G” driver's license required
