Hatch seeks a Senior Piping Designer for its mining and metals division. In this vital role, you will prepare project deliverables, including piping and instrumentation drawings, while independently developing layout designs. Your expertise in 3D modeling and mechanical equipment selection will enhance project outcomes and guide junior designers effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare Process Flow Diagrams and piping isometric drawings
• Develop 3D piping models in a CAD environment
• Review vendor packages related to piping design
• Lead design reviews with multi-discipline teams
• Mentor junior to intermediate piping designers
Requirements:
• Graduate from a 3-year Mechanical Engineering Technology Program
• Minimum 5 years of industrial piping design experience
• Proficiency in the Bentley Open Plant suite is a plus
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes
