Position: Lead Engineer for Solar Carports
Drive innovation at Polar Racking Inc. as the Product Lead Engineer overseeing our solar carport line in Mississauga, ON. Lead design and performance improvements for industry-leading solutions.

In this hands-on role, you will be the technical owner, shaping the engineering direction from concept to production. Your expertise in structural engineering will involve leading cross-functional teams while applying Value Analysis/Value Engineering principles to optimize performance, cost, and complexity. This role is ideal for an experienced structural engineer passionate about renewable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the engineering lead for solar carport product development

• Direct product roadmap alongside sales, ops, and manufacturing

• Develop structural design standards and quality benchmarks

• Ensure buildable and code-compliant designs

• Travel to project sites for design validation and support

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering

• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain

• 5+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably in racking or canopies

• Hands-on VAVE experience demonstrating cost performance

• Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD/BIM tools
