We are an ever growing and ever-changing company currently seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY
  • Accounting: compile and report on company financial information, accurately and periodically as required.
  • Treasury/Cash Management: ensure company assets are safe including risk management, insurance in place, minimized bad debts, and day-to-day cash management and reporting.
  • Inventory valuation: Ensure the correctness of inventory valuation and effective reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage all financial information and reporting systems, such as flutes and Acc Pacc (Accounting). Evaluate systems regularly to ensure their continued suitability, effectiveness and timeliness.
  • Responsible for financial month-end and year-end closing.
  • Prepare and regularly maintain the audit trail, cash flow, AR & AP, bank reconciliation, Inventory valuation and reconciliation, sales taxes, incentive and commission plan, and all financial statements including statutory filings and the reporting of corporate information to the various regulatory bodies. Conduct regular internal audits, to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain Balance sheet reconciliations and Journal entries for review.
  • Assist Director of Finance with the preparation of the financial data required for monthly, quarterly and annual meetings; compilation of data covering the anticipated revenues and expenditures in future periods to estimate the financial condition of the company.
  • Provide written comments for financial statements and timely answers to queries from the Director of Finance concerning company accounts and daily cash monitoring.
  • Coordinate insurances with outside providers.
  • Coordinate year end audit with outside auditors.
  • Mentor for Payroll and AR/AP functions on daily basis
  • Vacation coverage/back up for other finance functions as needed.
  • Other ad-hoc projects as required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree and/or two plus years related experience (manufacturing preferred); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working towards CPA is an asset.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
