Our client is a leading Asset and Property Management firm with commercial, residential and condo portfolios consisting of over $1.5 Billion dollars. They are in continual growth mode and are looking to add a Senior Property Accountant to their growing team. This is a newly created role due to the growth of the organization. As such this is a role with succession planning and growth opportunities.

Compensation
$60,000 – $70,000K annually, plus additional perks.
Position Description
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Monthly & Quarterly Reporting Lead a team to ensure monthly financial reports are up to date Reviewing monthly reconciliations and prepare financial statements Prepare quarterly financial statements and variance analysis Manage finance reports for special projectsFixed Assets Manage fixed asset schedules and prepare monthly journal entry Ensure fixed assets schedules are updated regularlyAudit Prepare interim and year-end audit schedules Ensure all deadlines are met and all audit paperwork is in order for VP of financeBudget Preparation Assist accounts payable in budgeting the expense accounts Review operating cost budgets with Property Managers Prepare revenue and recovery cost budgets.HST filing Review HST for monthly filing Work with Statistics Canada for any issues, filing, delinquencies, etc.Experience
In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceAt least 3 years of experience working within accounting and finance withinProperty ManagementExperience working within the Condo Property sector in accounting/financeExperience with Yardi Voyageur an MUSTQualifications
An accounting designation or pursuing a CA with near completion, an assetStrong computer skills;
Microsoft word, excel, Power Point Excellent oral and written English communication skillsEducation
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceAn accounting designation or pursuing an CA with near completion ideal
