Job Summary

The Operations Officer supports day-to-day credit fulfillment activities for business banking customers, including funding, securities processing, and operational maintenance. This role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while collaborating with internal partners to maintain high-quality service and risk protection standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review credit fulfillment documentation, program and issue funds.

  • Execute complex transactions and overrides accurately and within established guidelines and SLAs.

  • Refer or escalate operational issues appropriately to ensure service quality is maintained.

  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.

  • Provide thorough analysis of process drivers and root causes of cross-functional operational issues.

  • Support inbound and outbound partner requests, performing adjustments within authority levels.

  • Prioritize workload to meet 24-hour SLA commitments on funding and productivity targets.

  • Maintain understanding of internal and industry regulations, including AML and Business Continuity frameworks.

  • Exercise discretion in managing correspondence and confidential information.

  • Support change management initiatives and process improvement efforts.

  • Contribute to presentations and communications to management.

  • Prepare and process TBO Reports, Fire Liability reports, Expiry Forecasts, Expiry Securities, ARs, and Discharges.

  • Execute and review specialized securities documentation in accordance with policies and SLA requirements.

  • Communicate professionally with internal teams and external solicitors as required.

  • Process funding for business credit products while ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely disbursement and issue resolution.

Required Experience

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience in credit fulfillment, banking operations, or business banking support.

  • Experience meeting and managing SLAs.

  • Strong collaborative and coachable approach.

  • Ability to manage confidential customer data.

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Post-Secondary Degree (preferred).

  • French bilingualism (asset).

  • Banking or credit industry background.

  • Experience executing securities documentation and funding processes.
