Summary:

Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst to become an impactful member of their financial reporting team. In your role, you will be responsible for the month/quarter/year-end close process. You will oversee various full-cycle accounting activities and also liaise with auditors to address any inquiries. You've had 5+ years of financial reporting and analysis experience and are eager to independently oversee the month-end close process for this growing organization.

What You Will Be Doing:

Manage the MQY-end financial closing process

Prepare branch and head office journal entries and account reconciliations

Complete reporting packages for various Canadian and US companies

Create and distribute internal invoices for Canadian and US companies

Conduct account analysis and determine root cause for variances

Support the annual budget process by making monthly updates and working with regions as required

Respond to queries from internal and external auditors on sample selections

Success Criteria & Deliverables:

Ability to complete month-end close independently after 3 months

Strong relationships built with team members and controllers within the organization

What We Need From You:

5+ years of experience in financial analysis and reporting

Knowledge and experience with IFRS standards

Full cycle accounting experience, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations

Audit and controls experience, including external audit preparation and SOX compliance

CPA designation

Previous experience with public ownership structure and Oracle or similar systems

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables

Ability to work independently and with a team

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Experience in the manufacturing and distribution industries is preferred
