Role
Summary:
Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst to become an impactful member of their financial reporting team. In your role, you will be responsible for the month/quarter/year-end close process. You will oversee various full-cycle accounting activities and also liaise with auditors to address any inquiries. You've had 5+ years of financial reporting and analysis experience and are eager to independently oversee the month-end close process for this growing organization.

Manage the MQY-end financial closing processPrepare branch and head office journal entries and account reconciliationsComplete reporting packages for various Canadian and US companiesCreate and distribute internal invoices for Canadian and US companiesConduct account analysis and determine root cause for variancesSupport the annual budget process by making monthly updates and working with regions as requiredRespond to queries from internal and external auditors on sample selectionsSuccess Criteria & Deliverables:
Ability to complete month-end close independently after 3 monthsStrong relationships built with team members and controllers within the organizationWhat We Need From You:
5+ years of experience in financial analysis and reportingKnowledge and experience with IFRS standardsFull cycle accounting experience, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliationsAudit and controls experience, including external audit preparation and SOX complianceCPA designationPrevious experience with public ownership structure and Oracle or similar systemsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tablesAbility to work independently and with a teamExcellent communication and organizational skillsExperience in the manufacturing and distribution industries is preferredNext Steps:
