About the role:

We are actively looking for a Finance Summer Student that will support the day‑to‑day activities of the Finance team by assisting with accounting tasks, financial reporting, data analysis, and administrative support. This role is designed to provide hands‑on experience in finance within a mining environment, helping the student build practical skills while contributing to accurate, timely financial operations.
This role will be based our of our Sudbury office, on a Monday to Friday schedule

Responsibilities:

Assist with preparing, organizing, and validating financial documents, reports, and spreadsheets.

Support month‑end processes by gathering data, updating schedules, and reconciling basic accounts.

Perform data entry and maintain financial records with strong attention to detail.

Help track operating expenditures and compare them to budget allocations.

Participate in invoice processing, purchase order reviews, and vendor file maintenance.

Conduct simple variance analysis and highlight anomalies for review by the Finance team.

Assist with financial audits by compiling files, documentation, and supporting evidence.

Provide general administrative and analytical support to Finance leadership and project teams as needed.

Qualifications

Key Skills & Knowledge:

Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Skills & Strengths, We Value:

Analytical Skills – ability to interpret financial data and support basic analysis.

Strong Organization & Attention to Detail – essential for maintaining accurate financial documents and spreadsheets.

Communication & Collaboration – working effectively with the finance team and other departments.

What we Offer:

Salary Range: $20.00-$24.00 an hour
