The Opportunity
This position works closely with the Director of Finance, Controller, and other leadership to ensure the accurate statement of inventory and to provide other value-added analysis and reporting. The position will analyze expense trends and build standard reports to provide valuable insights to derive operational efficiency and promote sound decision making among leadership. The role is dynamic and will evolve over time according to the needs of the business.
Position Description
As a Financial Analyst you will be involved in:
Gathering data from disparate systems and tying them together to give an accurate picture.Identifying significant inventory risks, presenting to operational leadership and partners with sound reports to minimize potential exposureManaging the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data for an accurate accounting of consolidated business resultsProviding direct support to the accounting team in monthly/quarterly/yearly financial processesSupporting finance partners in process documentation identifying gaps, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvementsPreparing financial reports with reliable conclusions that management can use to implement more effective operational strategiesForecasting models for revenue changes and expenditure increases/decreasesExperience

You will also have:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing, consumer products, or batch processing industryWell-versed in Macros, Xlookup, Arrays, Goal Seeks with advanced skills in Microsoft Office ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCross-departmental experience with the ability to develop strong business relationshipsHigh level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning to identify underlying reasons or factsAbility to extract, manipulate and analyze data from multiple systems or sourcesAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines with accurate resultQualifications
CPA designation an asset
Education
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or related field of study; or the equivalent in work experience
