About the Role
We are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join our Finance Department on a 15–18‑month fixed-term contract to provide coverage during an extended leave. This role will be responsible for taking overall responsibility of financial and regulatory reporting, leading the external audit, and preparation of annual financial statements.
Compensation
Salary range: $85,000 to $90.000 per annum.
Compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications and falls within the expected range for this role.

Full-time Contract - Fixed Term (approx. 15 to 18 months)

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present internal financial reporting in line with IFRS and internal reporting requirements
Month-End closing process:
Lead the overall month-end closing process ensuring all transactions are closed in a timely manner.
Regulatory Reporting:
Lead all regulatory reporting for OSFI and Statistics Canada ensuring all reports are completed accurately and within the timelines set by the regulator.
Control over Bank Reconciliations:
Provide oversight of bank reconciliation process assisting with resolution of reconciling items on a daily basis.
Internal Audit:
Prepare information/reports for and respond to queries of Internal auditors.
External Audit:
Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, assisting in audit processes and addressing queries related to financial statement disclosure.
Ad-hoc reporting:
Assist the CFO with Board reporting material and Parent reporting as and when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
Recognised Accounting designation preferred
5+ years of relevant experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite - Word, Excel and Power Point
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
