The Senior Tax Analyst is accountable to the VP, Tax for the timely and accurate completion of various tax related tasks for the corporation. The Senior Tax Analyst will assist with income tax compliance, income tax provisions, CRA audits, tax research, and analytical support for the tax team. The successful candidate will work with business, finance, and other tax professionals in carrying out his or her responsibilities.
Relies on strong analytical skills, attention to details, communication, and good time management skills.
- Professional accounting designation
- 3-4 years of relevant tax experience
- University Degree in accounting, commerce, business, finance, or mathematics
- Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of MS Office applications, e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Completion of In-Depth I and II Tax courses is highly desired
- Experience with Taxprep, Taxforms, Taxnetpro
- Experience in real estate industry is an asset
- Strong analytical skills
- Good organizational and time management skills, attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of an effective team.
