Shape operational risk oversight at CMHC through data analytics and independent challenge in a hybrid Senior Specialist position across Canada.
As Senior Specialist, Compliance and Quality Assurance, you will strengthen operational risk management, internal controls, quality assurance, and compliance practices. Working with the Chief Risk Officer’s team, you will provide strategic advice, assess risks, and improve reporting. The position supports proactive, data-driven operational risk management.
Key Responsibilities:- Improve operational risk, control, quality assurance, and compliance frameworks
- Advise on risk governance, appetite, direction, and documentation
- Lead risk assessments, monitoring, testing, evaluation, and reporting
- Identify control issues and monitor remediation actions
- Analyze risk data, indicators, trends, and emerging issues
- Undergraduate degree in business, commerce, finance, analytics, or related discipline
- Minimum seven years in audit, compliance, risk, quality assurance, or controls
- Experience using data and analytics for oversight or decision-making
- Knowledge of financial or nonfinancial risk management oversight
- Strong communication, influencing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
