Parking Enforcement Officer

The City of Mississauga invites applications for 26 Parking Enforcement Officer positions. These role entails enforcing Traffic, Fire Route, and Accessible Parking by-laws. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and ideally have 1-2 years of experience in ticket issuance or administration within parking enforcement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce non-moving traffic violations across the city

• Operate a city vehicle during patrols

• Manage resident complaints regarding parking issues

• Assist fellow officers and resolve inquiries effectively

• Prepare occurrence reports for supervisory staff

Requirements:

• Graduation from a relevant post-secondary program

• 1-2 years of parking enforcement experience preferred

• Knowledge of by-laws and Provincial Offences Act

• Valid Class “G” driver's license and clean abstract

• Strong oral communication and conflict resolution skills
