Position: Yellowknife Municipal Officer II Opportunity
Support and enforce local laws as a Municipal Officer II in Yellowknife. This on-site role involves community engagement, compliance checks, and law enforcement responsibilities.

As part of the City of Yellowknife's efforts to ensure community safety, they are hiring a Municipal Officer II with at least 2 years of law enforcement experience. Your primary focus will be conducting patrols, investigating complaints, and ensuring the community meets municipal regulations. You will collaborate with residents and other city services while performing necessary traffic control and court responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patrols across the city using various transport methods

• Provide outstanding service to residents and visitors

• Enforce compliance with traffic laws and by-laws

• Investigate community complaints thoroughly

• Assist in traffic control for city departments and services

Requirements:

• Diploma in police studies, law enforcement, or related

• Minimum 2 years experience in law enforcement

• NWT class 5 driver’s license required

• Certifications in first aid and enforcement training needed

• Criminal records check mandatory before hire
