Role:
Human Resources Generalist (Payroll and Recruitment)Location:
Mississauga
Type: 12-18 months. Covering maternity leave
Pay: $60-70K
Fully on Site
Top Requirements:
Must have full cycle payroll experience. Must understand TAX, T4's, Year End and ROE's.
Recruitment experience in warehouse roles and some office
Dayforce is highly preferred
Detailed oriented and highly organized
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment & Onboarding:
Assist in talent acquisition and full cycle of recruitment process from recruitment plans to new hire orientation.
Benefits, Payroll and Compensation:
Administer employee benefits programs, process payroll for hourly and salaried employees (bi-weekly), manage payroll inquiries, and assist with performance appraisals.
Employee Relations:
Assist in addressing employee grievances, resolve conflicts, and facilitate disciplinary actions in compliance with company policies and labor laws.
Policy Development & Compliance:
Assist in creating, updating, and implementing
Job Description s, HR policies and procedures, ensuring they comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Training & Development:
Assist in developing and coordinating training programs and support employee career development.
Employee Engagement:
Assist in designing and implementing initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and engagement within the organization.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and organized physical and digital employee files, including attendance, benefits, vacation, and performance data.
Relationship Building:
Building and maintaining relationships with Operations and third party recruitment agencies.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Support with HR-related matters:
Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leave of absences, compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
HR Metrics:
Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
Exit interviews and Offboarding:
Conduct employee Exit interview and offboarding process (checklist and close out items)
Government grants:
