This is a rare and exciting opportunity to step into a newly created Business Intelligence Analyst role and build a trusted, departmentallevel data and analytics capability from the ground up within Paramedic Standards and Compliance.

In this role, you will move beyond reporting to become a key architect of how data is captured, governed, analyzed, and transformed into meaningful insights. You will design highly reliable dashboards, develop robust data models, and create a compliance‑ready analytics framework that supports planning, forecasting, and operational decision‑making across the organization.

With a high degree of autonomy and ownership, you will lead the selection and optimization of data systems for asset and fleet management, strengthen technical records management, and ensure data integrity in a regulated environment. Working closely with internal partnersincluding Decision Support, you will build strong relationships, ensure alignment across teams, ensure alignment with the enterprise data strategy and help position Ornge for the future through accurate, actionable intelligence.

Key Accountabilities:

Data Analysis, Insights & Forecasting

  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational equipment, fleet and asset availability, consumables, maintenance costs, and lifecycle forecasting.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, translating data into actionable insights that support operational readiness and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to define data requirements, metrics, variances, and interpretations to ensure consistency and clarity across reporting.
  • Dashboards, Systems & Program Development

  • Design and build dashboards and reporting solutions from the ground up, ensuring they are accurate, reliable, and decision‑ready.
  • Lead or support the selection, implementation, and integration of data systems supporting asset and fleet management, with a focus on scalability and data quality.
  • Develop and maintain a structured data and analytics framework, including data models, algorithms, process flows, and governance standards.
  • Reporting & Regulatory Compliance

  • Deliver timely, accurate, and compliant reporting for internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare and support submissions to the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Accreditation Canada.
  • Assist with reporting and data coordination related to Health Canada recalls and compliance activities.
  • Data Quality & Technical Records Management
