Summary
The Microsoft System Administrator is responsible for managing and securing the organization’s Microsoft cloud and hybrid infrastructure which includes Microsoft Entra , Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, Azure services, and on-premises Active Directory. This role ensures identity governance, endpoint security, compliance, and operational efficiency across the Microsoft ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
Identity & Access Management (Microsoft Entra )
Administer Entra , RBAC, Conditional Access, MFA, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
Administer Office 365
Maintain hybrid identity using Azure AD Connect, SSO, and password protection policies.
Monitor authentication logs and resolve identity-related issues.
Endpoint Management (Microsoft Intune)
Configure Intune for device enrollment, compliance policies, security baselines, and application deployment.
Manage Windows Autopilot, device provisioning, patching, and endpoint protection.
Oversee mobile device management (MDM) for iOS and Android platforms.
Security & Compliance (Microsoft Defender)
Implement and manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint policies for threat protection and compliance.
Monitor and respond to security alerts, ensuring adherence to organizational security standards.
Configure Azure Backup, Site Recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
Automate operational tasks using Azure Automation runbooks and enforce governance policies.
Administer Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and hybrid integrations.
Perform routine monitoring, patching, and server maintenance.
Dynamics 365 F&O (Basic Knowledge)
Provide basic support for environment troubleshooting and integrations with Azure services.
General Responsibilities
Document architectures, procedures, and operational guides.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and efficient operations.
Participate in on-call or after-hours support as needed.
Requirements
3–5 years experience managing Microsoft cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Entra , Intune, Defender, and Azure administration.
Knowledge of Dynamics 365 F&O infrastructure.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, routing, firewalls).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Preferred Certifications

Compensation:
$70k - $75k/year
