Machine Learning Bioinformatics Scientist

Be at the forefront of bioinformatics in Mississauga, ON, as a Machine Learning Bioinformatics Scientist. This role focuses on AI-driven applications to advance healthcare with next-gen sequencing technology.

As a contractor for six months, you will engage in the development of NGS assays and bioinformatics methodologies. You will leverage your analytical skills to derive insights from genetic mutation data while collaborating with a talented team. Your efforts aim to push the boundaries of personalized medicine through innovative research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing bioinformatics pipelines for NGS data

• Visualize genomic data to highlight critical findings

• Explore and validate biomarkers from cfDNA analyses

• Troubleshoot and correlate findings with clinical data

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or higher in Bioinformatics or relevant discipline

• Strong Python and Bash/shell scripting skills

• Proficiency in NGS technologies and analysis methods

• Familiar with machine learning tools and frameworks

• Experience scaling pipelines using HPC clusters
