Data Engineer; Python & PySpark

Position: Data Engineer (Python & PySpark)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with strong experience in building scalable data pipelines and a solid understanding of KYC/AML workflows. The role involves working closely with business and technology teams to support client onboarding, compliance, and lifecycle management initiatives within a high‑performance data environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines for large datasets

Support KYC/AML processes, including client onboarding and lifecycle management

Build and optimize data solutions using Python and/or Scala

Develop data processing workflows using Big Data technologies (Spark, PySpark, Kafka, Hadoop, Flink)

Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable data solutions

Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines for performance and scalability

Domain Expertise

Experience in KYC / AML workflows

Understanding of Client Onboarding and Lifecycle Management (CLM)

Technical Skills (Must Have)

Strong experience in data pipeline development (ETL/ELT)

Proficiency in Python and/or Scala

Hands‑on with Spark, PySpark, Kafka, Hadoop, Flink

Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP (any one)

Strong SQL skills (Oracle, Postgre

SQL, or similar)

Experience with No

SQL databases (Mongo

DB, Couchbase, etc.)

Familiarity with Airflow or Prefect for orchestration

Good to Have

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Exposure to NLP/Document processing tools (Spa Cy, NLTK, LLM pipelines)

Knowledge of distributed systems and scalable architectures

Mandatory Skills
Python for Data Science.

Experience
5-8 Years.

Compensation
Expected compensation ranges from CAD 77,000 to CAD 120,000.
