Cloud Security Automation Engineer

Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid: 2+ days on site)

Duration: 4 months (Possibility of extension/conversion depending upon performance and business needs)

Schedule: M-F, 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day)

The client is seeking a detail‑oriented Cloud Security and AI Test Engineer to join their team. This individual will focus on automating and validating Compliance-as-Code (CaC) policies across multi‑cloud environments (GCP, Azure, and AWS). The role blends expertise in cloud security with advanced AI tools to enhance compliance, security, and test automation, ensuring continuous validation within multi‑cloud environments.

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-driven automated test frameworks for Compliance-as-Code policies across GCP, AWS, and Azure.
• Implement AI-driven test environments using Azure Foundry and Azure ML to simulate network and IAM configurations.
• Utilize Azure AI Search, Azure OpenAI, and Azure Machine Learning to build intelligent validation routines.
• Integrate AI-assisted compliance validation into CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions and Git Hub Copilot.
• Automate security scanning and validation of Terraform deployments using Python.
• Validate cloud resource configurations against financial industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC
  2).
• Implement logging/monitoring solutions to detect violations in real‑time using Wiz.io, Splunk, and Dynatrace.

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Security, Dev Sec Ops , AI, or Cloud Engineering roles.
• Proven experience in multi‑cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
• Solid background in automating security testing and compliance validation.

Must-Haves: Python, Terraform, CI/CD (Git Hub Actions), Multi-cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), Jira/Confluence.

Nice-to-Haves: Cloud/Dev Sec Ops  Certs, Kubernetes Security, OPA/Rego, Hashi Corp Sentinel, Azure Policy, Financial industry experience.

Degree or Diploma required;
Masters or PhD strongly preferred.
