Description
The Specialist provides second‑level technical client support across Network Security, Information Security, and Endpoint Security disciplines. The role focuses on cyber‑security analysis, operating system analysis, incident handling, troubleshooting, packet capture, configuration, backup restoration, and appliance/network infrastructure repair.
Responsibilities- Monitor and resolve support requests 24x7 (60% of job weight).
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior team members or managers.
- Perform deep analysis of operating systems and conduct root‑cause analysis.
- Handle cyber incidents, system crashes, bug fixes, and troubleshooting.
- Capture packets, configure systems, restore from backup, and repair appliances, networks, and infrastructure.
- Engage with clients and vendors multiple times to resolve issues.
- Identify efficiencies and workflow improvements to reduce false positives.
- Document and analyze service performance trends, anomalies, and SLA breaches.
- Apply Trusted Advisor techniques to build client trust and influence loyalty.
- Mentor less senior resources and provide guidance on troubleshooting and tool usage.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and knowledge‑base articles.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or 3‑year diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technology field.
- At least 1 year of security experience in a client‑focused environment or in a security operations center, OR 6 years of total IT experience including 1 year of security experience.
- Two intermediate‑level certifications in Managed Security Services disciplines (e.g., security, networking, endpoint).
- Willingness to work 7‑day, 24‑hour coverage, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Experience supporting IT infrastructure and information systems design or support at an enterprise level.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Competitive salary range: $72,725 – $101,825 (based on experience and skill set). Salaries are based on a 37.5‑hour workweek and paid bi‑weekly.
