Position: M365 Governance Consultant

Working hour: 8hr/ day and 40hr/ week

Contract duration: 10 weeks with a possibility of extension depending on the project.

Client is launching a Core Modernization program to eliminate operational drag caused by fragmented data governance across our M365 and multi-tenant environments. As an essential first step, we are seeking a qualified partner to conduct a 10‑week diagnostic aligned to ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 42001 and NIST frameworks. 'Specifically, we are looking for a candidate with deep M365 governance and ISO/NIST implementation experience in internal service provider environments'.

Prior efficiency efforts have focused on point solutions rather than systemic governance. Core Modernization is designed to make data trusted, AI Agents, auditable and AI readiness while maintaining and supporting the other operational platform. We believe the right partner will combine M365 platform expertise with ISO/NIST rigour, a governance led transformation model and a proven ability to strengthen policy enforcement, ownership clarity and audit readiness across complex multi‑tenant environments.

What

we require:
  • Enterprise grade governance capabilities including consistent policy enforcement, explicit data ownership, operational readiness, audit readiness, and risk quantification. Your methodology should move beyond checklists to embed governance as a durable, scalable function.
  • Deep proficiency with Advanced Management for M365 (AMM), AvePoint, Power BI and Multi‑Tenant Governance (MTG) or equivalent solutions that unify platform management, AI Agents and data lifecycle controls and cross tenant decision clarity (global vs. local).
  • Experience treating our internal collaboration team as an internal service provider: mapping end to end service delivery from request intake to fulfillment, including handoffs, dependencies, and governance gaps across tenants, Member Firm(s) and team engagements.
  • A defensible financial model that quantifies collaboration waste, technology gaps assessment within the teams, rework sinkholes and risk leakage using loaded labor rates, translating findings into FTE equivalent capacity loss and direct operational cost.
  • Delivery of a live KPI and OKR executive dashboard with intervention triggers and a 0 18 month phased roadmap, including a strategic technology and investment case. This is a diagnostic only; no tool implementation is required.
