Duration: 5 Months of Contract (Need to go 4 days in week onsite)

This role sits at the heart of Client credit strategy modernization. As a Business Analyst on our SAS-to-PySpark migration project, you'll serve as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and a team of developers driving one of the organization’s key technology transformations. Your focus: understanding and documenting the business logic embedded in legacy SAS processes, ensuring that migrated PySpark solutions faithfully replicate intended outcomes, and validating results through rigorous end-to-end QA testing.
Working alongside a Project Manager and fellow developers, you'll help ensure the migration delivers accurate, trusted, and business‑ready solutions that directly support credit risk management.
- Engage business partners across credit risk and related functions to elicit, document, and validate the business logic underlying existing SAS processes.
- Translate complex analytical rules and data transformation logic into clear requirements that development teams can implement in PySpark.
- Execute end-to-end test runs of developer-delivered code, verifying that migrated PySpark solutions produce results consistent with legacy SAS outputs.
- Design and perform QA testing plans including data validation, reconciliation, and exception analysis to confirm accuracy and completeness of migrated processes.
- Collaborate closely with developers to clarify requirements, triage discrepancies, and support timely issue resolution throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Maintain clear, structured documentation of business rules, test cases, test results, and sign-off records to support project governance and knowledge transfer.
- Participate in sprint reviews and project checkpoints, providing the Project Manager and stakeholders with clear status updates on QA progress and outstanding items.
- 3+ years of business analysis experience, ideally within financial services or credit risk environments.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret SAS code or similar analytical/data transformation scripts to extract underlying business logic.
- Solid analytical and data literacy skills – comfortable querying data, comparing outputs, and identifying discrepancies between systems.
- Proven experience designing and executing QA or UAT test plans, including writing test cases and documenting results.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills – ability to work with business partners to gather requirements and build shared understanding of complex processes.
- Explicit and concise written and verbal communication skills for bridging technical and non-technical audiences.
