Manager, Platform Technology

About the Role

Manager, Platform Technology is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused leader who cares deeply about building stable, high‑performing platforms that people can rely on every day.

• Own the health, evolution, and performance of Lend Cares platforms, leading delivery through vendor partnerships, team leadership, and thoughtful technical oversight.
• Work closely with business leaders, Technical Product and Architecture teams, and external partners to bring ideas to life while championing modern engineering, quality, and Dev Sec Ops  practices.
• Coordinate and manage the backlog of platform development requests, ensuring alignment with business priorities and delivery timelines.
• Drive best practices using Agile and Dev Sec Ops  approaches to enable faster, more reliable delivery cycles.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery velocity, reduce technical debt, and optimize overall platform performance.
• Provide regular updates to internal teams and leadership on platform performance, development progress, and support metrics.
• Maintain high standards for quality assurance activities to ensure accurate, high‑quality changes are deployed.
• Act as the primary point of contact for development and QA partners, ensuring accountability, strong performance, and timely delivery.
• Support a core technology roadmap that aligns IT initiatives with the business's short‑ and long‑term goals.
• Lead day‑to‑day support of enterprise platforms, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and root causes are addressed.
• Support release management activities by coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure readiness and minimize disruption.
• Maintain visibility into platform issues and defects, driving timely resolution and continuous improvement in support processes.
• Assist in major incident management by bringing together the right resources and supporting investigation and resolution efforts.
• Oversee the planning and execution of platform integrations with internal and external systems, ensuring stability and data integrity.
• Ensure platform documentation is current, accurate, and aligned with operational standards, including support procedures and integration specifications.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (Master's degree considered an asset).
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or platform‑specific credentials (Microsoft, AWS, Salesforce) are an advantage.
• 57 years of experience in platform support, software delivery, or technical vendor management within an enterprise environment.
• Experience managing third‑party development and support partners, including performance tracking and escalation management.
• Strong understanding of enterprise platform operations, including incident management, release coordination, and integration support.
• Ability to understand and clearly communicate technical concepts related to APIs, integrations, and platform architecture.
• Proven problem‑solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex platform issues and drive resolution through collaboration and structured analysis.

We offer a Flexible Work Program that allows up to three days onsite per week from either our Mississauga or Pickering office. Compensation includes a base salary and a performance‑based bonus, designed to reflect market competitiveness and the experience and impact each candidate brings to the role.
