Job Description

What is the opportunity?

At RBC Insurance, we are transforming how Data and AI shaped the way we serve clients, advisors, and operations teams across our value chain. From data platforms to AI copilots, from underwriting to claims, our Data and AI product team helps design and deliver the workflows and insights that drive impact across the business.

As an Associate Product Specialist supporting the development of AI agents on our internal Gen-AI platform, you'll help product managers, data practitioners, and subject-matter experts to build, refine, and track AI agents and workflows that automate tasks for RBC employees.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone early in their career who's curious about product development, AI applications, and how systems work together.

What will you do?

  • Collaborate on the design and delivery of Agentic AI solutions by collaborating with stakeholders across digital and data teams to define user workflows, capture requirements, and document solution designs for AI agents serving internal users throughout the organization.
  • Join discovery interviews, workshops, solutioning sessions, and agile rituals as an active observer, capturing detailed notes and outcomes that help Product Managers and stakeholders stay aligned.
  • Document agentic AI workflows and user journeys in Confluence using team templates, outlining how AI agents will interact with users, what tasks they'll automate, and how they integrate into existing business processes across different teams.
  • Support continuous discovery for AI agent capabilities by tracking how user feedback and priorities evolve overtime across initiatives and identifying new opportunities for intelligent automation across the organization.
  • Build and maintain internal dashboards, reports, and status updates that provide visibility into team progress, initiatives, health and cross-squad activity.
  • Contribute to leadership communications by helping summarize what's happening across the Data and AI organization.
  • Increase our product analytics capacity by collecting and analyzing data to measure the outcome of our products and initiatives and understand our users better.
  • Maintain the team’s shared knowledge platform, keeping Confluence pages, JIRA boards, and product artifacts organized, current, and consistent.
  • Collaborate with product managers to refine templates, documentation, practices, and internal standards.
  • What will you need to succeed?

    Must have

  • 0 to 2 years of relevant experience (co-ops, internships or full-time roles in analytics, operations, consulting, or product teams).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear, structured writing and ability to synthesize complex information.
  • A data-drive mindset and foundational understanding of analytics and data concepts.
  • Ability to work in ambiguity: comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where information is incomplete or evolving.
  • System-thinking: interest in understanding how things connect across people, data, tools and processes.
  • Curiosity, humility, and a willingness to learn by doing and through collaboration.
  • Nice to have

  • Interest in product discovery, user research and outcome-drive product development.
  • Interest in AI agents, large language models (LLMs), and conversational AI workflows
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering, AI use case discovery, or automation platforms
  • Familiarity with Confluence and Jira, or similar product/Agile collaboration tool.
  • Exposure to SQL, analytics platforms, and dashboard building tools.
  • What’s in it for you?

  • A Total Rewards program that includes flexible benefits, work/life balance and career development programs and investment and retirement savings plans
  • Competitive pay and high-earning potential
  • All the tools, training, and team support you need to grow your business and career
  • Flexible work/life balance options
  • Sophisticated RBCI software tools to boost your productivity and grow your business
