Expert Security Engineer at Redpanda

Redpanda seeks an experienced Staff Security Engineer to enhance application security across its innovative platform. You'll leverage your expertise in C++ and Go while working in a high-trust, agile team environment.

In this pivotal role, you'll lead the development of security practices across Redpanda's products, including threat modeling and secure design reviews. Work closely with a dedicated product security team to implement app security testing, automate security processes, and maintain continual oversight of vulnerabilities and incident responses. Your work will directly impact how Fortune 500 companies manage critical data securely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead threat modeling for new features within C++ and Go

• Own application security testing throughout the development lifecycle

• Build fuzzing harnesses for core engine security

• Drive secure code reviews with an emphasis on AI assistance

• Operate product security incident response and vulnerability disclosures

Requirements:

• 7+ years in application security

• Proficient in C++ or Rust;
Go is beneficial

• Experience in fuzzing or system languages

• Familiar with App Sec toolchain and CI/CD practices

• Strong communication skills in a distributed environment
