We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Guidewire Business Analyst with a strong background in the insurance domain and hands-on experience with Guidewire Insurance Suite – Policy Center. The ideal candidate will possess deep analytical capabilities, technical proficiency, and a solid understanding of insurance processes and data management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed system specifications for Guidewire Policy Center implementations and enhancements.
- Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered accurately.
- Analyze large datasets using complex SQL queries to identify patterns, validate data quality, and investigate defects.
- Support integration efforts with vendor packages, relational databases, message queues, web services, and legacy systems.
- Create clear and concise documentation including business process flows, data mappings, and system interactions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Ensure alignment with data management best practices and frameworks such as DAMA and Mike 2.0.
- Provide subject matter expertise in insurance domains including Underwriting, Policy Administration, Pricing, and Claims.
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire Policy Center.
- Strong understanding of open systems architecture and integration patterns.
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis techniques.
- Solid grasp of insurance domain knowledge (Underwriting, Policy Admin, Claims, etc.).
- Familiarity with IT domains such as BIDW, Data Modeling, ETL, RDBMS, Hadoop.
- Experience with MDM and data governance frameworks is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: CAD$ to /annum.
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
