The Principal M&A Analyst Enterprise Applications is responsible for the assessment, planning and execution of enterprise application initiatives supporting technology due diligence, integration planning, and integration cost estimation activities for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic business initiatives.

Reporting to the VP, MT M&A this role serves as the primary Enterprise Applications representative within M&A transactions and partners closely with Enterprise Applications Service Area leaders, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Business Unit IT teams, and acts as a trusted advisor to Corporate Development stakeholders to evaluate application landscapes, identify integration requirements and strategy, assess risks, and develop cost estimates.

The role requires broad knowledge of enterprise application architectures, business process alignment, data migration considerations, integration patterns, and large-scale SaaS implementation and transformation programs.

The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in highly dynamic and ambiguous environments, translating incomplete information into practical recommendations and estimates that support executive decision-making and deal value realization. The role requires a high degree of discretion, as it will be privy to non-public information that must not be disclosed to tower leaders, while still engaging them for high-level input to inform planning.

M&A Due Diligence & Application Assessment

• Lead enterprise application due diligence activities for acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic transactions.
• Assess target application portfolios, architecture, integrations, business process alignment, and technology dependencies.
• Evaluate application complexity, technical debt, support models, licensing considerations, vendor dependencies, and integration risks.
• Identify application rationalization, consolidation, modernization, and synergy opportunities.
• Document findings and recommendations for inclusion in due diligence reports and executive readouts.

Integration Strategy & Planning

• Develop high level application integration and migration strategies aligned to business objectives and enterprise standards.
• Define target-state application approaches for acquired organizations.
• Support development of Day 1, Employee Day 1, and Initial Integration plans.
• Facilitate discovery and planning workshops with business stakeholders, application owners, architects, and service area SMEs.
• Develop transition roadmaps, implementation sequencing, and dependency management plans.

Cost Modeling & Financial Analysis

• Develop application integration cost estimates and financial models to support transaction evaluations and integration planning.
• Build cost estimates for:
  • Microsoft 365 tenant migrations
  • Workday implementations and tenant consolidation
  • SAP ECC and SAP S/4
    
    HANA migrations
  • CRM transitions
  • Data migration and application decommissioning activities
  • Integration platform and middleware implementations
• Collaborate with service area SMEs, vendors, and implementation partners to develop realistic estimates, assumptions, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Document risks, dependencies, confidence levels, and alternative implementation scenarios.

Enterprise Applications Domain Leadership

• Provide expertise across enterprise application architectures and integration patterns.
