What is the opportunity?
Underwriting Coordinators: The UW Coordinators provide superior support to Underwriting teams by providing smooth workflow management. From assigning New Business and PLCs in a timely manner to the focus of creating the initial renewal framework in our Group Rating and Proposal system prior to Underwriting analysis.
As the Senior Underwriting Coordinator you will have prior Group Benefits knowledge to ensure a quick adaptation to the role. You will be able to quickly provide quality, accuracy and reasonableness of inforce case information that will support the development and implementation of accurate New Business, Plan Changes & Renewals. You will provide superior support to Underwriting and internal business partners.
You will also ensure SLA’s are consistently met and are within quality standards.
What will you do?
Major focus on preparing renewals for Underwriting analysisWork within our Group Rating and Proposal System (GRAPE)Prepare inforce plan design on New SubmissionsEnsure inforce Plans are accurate for renewalsPartner with the field to obtain missing census information. Then review case specific census information for completeness and set up in rating system.Prepare Claim/Experience reports for the renewal.Maintain checklist for renewals to release Underwriting.Release Renewal to underwriting within stated due date.Multiple source systems and data checks are reviewed to maintain timely workflowLearn and adapt to a team environment. Must-have
