We are searching for an experienced Warehouse and Supply Chain Manager on behalf of our client, a global Tier 1 & 2 automotive manufacturer of components and assemblies to the automotive and other industrial markets. This position is located in the Brampton area.

Job Summary

The Warehouse and Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations and supply chain management, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods. This role involves inventory control, logistics coordination, team leadership, and strategic planning to optimize supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Management:
  • Ensure compliance of all ESA, OHSA and company policies and procedures.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment and encourages continuous improvement.
  • Establish performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations to ensure operational excellence.
  • Implement inventory control procedures and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage and labeling of all goods.
  • Lead, train and manage the warehouse team.
  • Oversee the preparation and processing of shipping documentation, including the financial aspects such as verifying transportation invoices, and scheduling and coordinating both internal and external trucking for efficient transportation.
  • Play a key role in shaping the setup and transition to future, improved logistics software and ERP systems, participating in the design and execution of the new system, assisting in testing, data migration, training, and troubleshooting as required.
  • Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, inspection, packing and shipping of all goods.
  • Supply Chain Management:
  • Ensure compliance with trade regulations, import/export policies and company guidelines.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implementation solutions.
  • Manage transportation, distribution and logistics tasks to minimize costs and increase
  • Monitor and track all ocean shipments from our plants to our warehouse locations, ensuring timely arrival and resolving any transportation issues that may arise.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors and logistics partners to ensure timely procurement and delivery of goods.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Use data driven insights to optimize warehouse processes and supply chain workflows.
  • Generate reports on warehouse and supply chain operations for senior management.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) related to inventory turnover, order fulfillment and cost efficiency.

  • Successful Transition to New Logistics Software and ERP Systems:
    Assessed by the smoothness of transition, including the effectiveness of training and user adoption, and the impact on overall logistics operations efficiency.
  • Inventory Management Efficiency:
    Measured by the maintenance of optimal safety stock levels to avoid stock outs and overstocks, and the accuracy of physical stock levels compared to system records.
  • Avoidance of Premium Freight:
    Monitored through minimized usage of premium freight due to emergency shipping situations, focusing on proactive planning and effective logistics management.
  • Shipment Timeliness:
    Evaluated by the percentage of on-time deliveries, ensuring smooth and prompt delivery from our plants to the warehouses and, eventually, to the customers.
  • Qualifications and Skills
  • Mandarin Speaking is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and reduce operational costs.
  • Knowledge of logistics, transportation, and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems (ERP, WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
