Description:
The Associate Master Data Specialist (AMDS) is a vital role within the Global Master Data Operations (GMDO) team, which is part of Global Product and Supply Chain Management (PTS). PTS ensures a worldwide reliable supply of medicines to patients by connecting their needs to the Roche Pharma Global Supply Network.
The GMDO team is composed of data maintenance, process, and system experts whose mission is to deliver high-quality master data, ensuring fast and affordable medicine delivery. The AMDS supports this mission by providing tailored services for master data provision and sustaining various global maintenance systems and operational processes.
This role is critical for enabling supply chain and manufacturing processes. The AMDS will spend most of their time performing end-to-end master data maintenance and driving the continuous improvement of data, processes, and relevant systems. Collaboration with local and global functional experts is key to this role.
Job Duties /Responsibilities
• Execute end-to-end master data maintenance within SAP ECC/S4
HANA, with a primary focus on Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP) modules. This includes the creation and life-cycle management of Material Masters, Bill of Materials (BOMs), Master Recipes/Routings, Source Lists, Info Records, as well as other related master data objects as required.
• Ensure "right first time" data quality by conducting all necessary pre-checks and evaluating correct parameters.
• Adhere strictly to the established service level agreements (SLA).
• Identify and report maintenance-related issues, analyze root causes, and work to resolve them promptly.
• Actively contribute to the development of master data standards and templates.
• Identify, support, and potentially lead continuous improvement projects (e.g., RPA, data/process improvements) to reduce lead time and increase data quality.
• Provide input for the development of training/documentation and support the onboarding of new team members.
Qualification/Experience Required
• Bachelor’s degree or specialized diploma with relevant experience.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in master data maintenance or supply chain planning.
• Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Manufacturing Operations within a global environment.
• Strong knowledge of business processes in the pharmaceutical supply chain is preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint) and document sharing systems.
• Familiarity with SAP modules such as MM, PP, SD, QM, APO, TM, EWM, or OMP is preferred
