Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing & Category Manager to manage and optimize the end-to-end materials procurement lifecycle. The successful candidate will develop procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive efficient planning and purchasing processes in a dynamic environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Develop, implement, and manage procurement strategies, tools, and plans aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
Ensure sustained supply in a highly dynamic and evolving environment.
Manage procurement activities for materials and capital equipment
.Partner with internal teams on inventory management and material planning.
Manage ECO/MCO change orders in collaboration with Engineering and Product Lifecycle teams.
Strong experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, and supplier management
.Ability to negotiate supplier contracts and manage purchase orders.
Experience with
supplier selection, capacity planning, scale-up, and supplier performance management
.Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
Manage the complete materials procurement lifecycle
, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, purchase order management, capacity scale-up, and supplier performance.Optimize and scale planning and purchasing processes for New Product Introduction (NPI).
Manage critical outsourcing and sourcing activities
.Develop and execute category strategies to achieve cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and vendors
.Support product development and co-development initiatives with Engineering and manufacturing teams.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, supplier optimization, and operational efficiency
.Ensure procurement activities are delivered in a timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner.
Foster effective cross-functional collaboration and ensure clear, actionable communication across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
Engineering background preferred.
Experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Category Management
.Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or product development environment is an asset.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work strategically while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
