YOUR ROLE

As the Supervisor, Trade Performance and Space Allocation Center, you will lead and coordinate the daily activities of the Trade Performance Center team. Reporting to the Carrier and Partner Management Senior Manager, NORTAM, this role is responsible for overseeing carrier allocations, bookings with Asia, contract utilization, operational performance, and network communication. The successful candidate will ensure team alignment, process compliance, service quality, and continuous improvement while acting as an escalation point for operational issues and supporting departmental objectives.

WHAT

YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Supervise booking activities, allocation management, and OPTIM maintenance across trade lanes.
  • Ensure alignment with carrier contract agreements, including freight, commodity, and equipment requirements.
  • Provide guidance to team members on carrier allocation, contract utilization, and customer requirements.
  • Lead daily coordination with carriers and internal stakeholders to monitor operational performance.
  • Act as an escalation contact for operational issues and carrier communication.
  • Identify recurring issues, recommend corrective actions, and support issue logs or deviation reporting.
  • Prepare and monitor KPI reporting related to data quality, process adherence, and carrier performance.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across the global Trade Performance Center network.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve workflows, productivity, and process compliance.
  • Communicate operational alerts, updates, opportunities, and challenges clearly and proactively across the network.
  • Supervise, coach, and support team members while promoting a collaborative, respectful, and accountable work environment.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Transport and Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in transport and logistics, including experience coordinating carrier activities, allocations, bookings, or ocean freight operations.
  • Previous team lead or supervisory experience is considered an asset.
  • Fluency in both French and English.
  • Good command of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and operational reporting tools.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team coordination skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret operational data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work autonomously and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solution-oriented approach with the ability to support process improvement and change adoption.
